Video on emotional blackmail.
Theramin Trees is a great resource. You're not crazy, what's happening to you is not okay.
Please, everyone, add in YouTube videos of your own as fast resources for people who aren't ready for a big time commitment yet.

I recommend you go to Theramin Trees on YouTube, go to playlists, find the one titled "manipulative tactics", and just watch through those as a start.

I recommend you go to Theramin Trees on YouTube, go to playlists, find the one titled "manipulative tactics", and just watch through those as a start. And if it hits you hard and you're like me (forgetful), you can listen once to take notes and a second time to make observations or recollections from your own life that bring it home for you. Disagreement is always on the table too. Any ideas "worth their salt" are meant to be engaged with, not just accepted... I feel.

Watch this and tell me the first few minutes doesn't send shivers down your spine... then watch the rest too.

I recently stumbled across this video. It is more geared for families, but I think there are some things mentioned that can be applied to the PRC as well.

No healing here, but fascinating science-oriented videos I've watched recently.
A Brief History of Everything:
Richard Dawkins and David Buss in conversation:
Pascal Boyer Interview:

I've also been thinking on and off (like most people, probably) about sex and gender. I don't have "answers" I'm proposing, but I appreciated this video by Forrest Valkai, as well as various podcasts from The Unspeakable podcast, especially the "Gender Nuance" podcast trilogy. I've heard lots of things from all "sides", but these are what I've found most worthwhile. Take that for what it's worth.

Ok, this is more related to the initial purpose of making this thread than where it is now: I highly recommend the YouTube channel HealthyGamerGG to anyone who feels generally stuck in life, especially after something like leaving the PRC. Seeing therapy for others isn't the same as therapy for yourself, but it still does help.
