Do you ever notice that every time there's a discussion on the PRC belief system on facebook that everyone simply likes what one person says instead of engaging in the conversation? I saw this happen over these past few days. One person speaks, and everyone else just likes the comments. It's almost as if they can't think for themselves. Of course this happens with other subjects - but this really stands out when it comes to PRC people. It reminds me of bible study too. No one really wants to talk about anything except the next point on the study lesson.
Anyway, Happy New Year!

If they actually had any thoughts they'd voice them, but they're programmed.

That whole "armor of god" thing doesn't really seem to work when they're clobbered with the truth.

I think they're scared. Understandably so.

The PRC believes THEY have THE truth, and think they cherish and defend it. What they have is their twisted version of the truth, and a very twisted way of cherishing and defending it

I was going to say a whole lot...but, then deleted my thoughts...Now, I'll rewrite. There is a difference between defending the truth and defending one's way of life. That's all I'll say. I hope you didn't delete them and just didn't post them. I would have liked to read them.

I deleted them because I was frustrated...and I sounded like it. I realized that I did not need to be so frustrated...so, I deleted my words. I realized that in the PR belief system...people associate truth with a way of life...and...like any extremist group...will fight to the death it seems to preserve that belief's way of life. Ironic however...is this fight to the death bit. Kill other's while you're at it...That's what I've experienced at the hand's of this extreme belief system. So, yeah, I got mad and frustrated...because the caustic nature of this belief system not only hurts others...but, is in actually "killing" those who "embrace it's so called "truth". ieieieieievey! In my opinion...truth does not need defending..as TRUTH WILL shine in the dark like a light, no matter what. Truth does not need to be "fought for" in such a way that other's are clobbered and lambasted with guilt or shame..or, SHUNNING. Truth can be presented simply...gently, carefully...and I find that those who are truly hungry...will eat, and dine and grow and be filled...use the energy from this truth...and ask for more. So...I'd deleted my thoughts...and tried to say less. Fundamentalism, however it is presented, in whatever religion, denomination, political party, etc. seems to be founded in man made ideology with one of its goals being separation and isolation. I hate fundamentalism in all its forms. It becomes, for them, their calling card and they will easily put their head on the chopping block for this man made system of beliefs. History has proven more times than not they lose their heads...for man made ideology! The fact that they hurt others...and themselves matters not. It is a "I'm right, you're wrong" obsession that seems to be a result of pride and reprisal, especially for those most close to themselves. It really is a discordant behavior to what most of Christianity believes...I hope. All truth is God's truth, not just the prca's interpretation. I tend to be able to find more truth in their doctrines than I ever do of their doctrine's manifestations in its flock. They can't see the forest for the common tree, and all they want to do is chop down that tree and figuratively burn it like Michael Servetus at the green stake. Their wrath is confounding.

I just celebrate the good news that God reveals Himself to who ever is open and listening and hungry. One does not have to be special or set apart or chosen for God to show himself, show His Love, share His word. He will give life to anyone who wants or asks or seeks for Him. ANYONE. Period. A big AMEN to that!

right...that's an example that this belief system "reframes" the meaning because the truth of that hope inspiring, faith growth and love encouraging word...just does not match their "belief system"...so they have to change it somehow to fit into their Tulip box. TULIP becomes the test of truth. Tulip however is simply a derivative of the Bible. TULIP is what needs to be tested and retested and checked and tried.

TULIP as a belief system failed to introduce me to the PERSON of Jesus Christ who loved me. Period.
TULIP as a belief system failed to bring me in from the cold. Tulip failed to calm my shivering fears that I was not one of the chosen "lucky-righteous-elect".
Tulip led me down paths of dark dread and anxiety that I might not be loved, reminded me over and over what a nasty sinful creature I was before the eyes of my Maker.
But, Jesus on the other hand found me...and saved my soul, warmed my heart and renews me daily with His love.

So simple right? Why make faith so complicated, other than to entrap and ensnare and divert a simple soul, a child, a human from the simple truth of Jesus and HIS mission of love for the entire world? Why hide this glaring, trumpeting truth and shouting fact with layers and layers of heavy oppressive and repressive words wrapped up in a language that ultimately serve to bleed away the truth of such a love, such a grace, such a loving God? Why? Fear...control...and what else? Ego.
That's my opinion of course...and, it was my experience as well.
