You will get a good laugh out of this thread on face book. This was a non pr response to the PRS post on tulip... why can't the g-god of tulipism cannot make an demonic tuliper believe that GOD is not a puppet maker?..Disgusting is short with the tulipism. It does not say For GOD SO make puppets does it? --- Alejandro Grace Ararat.

It does not say For GOD SO make puppets does it? --- Alejandro Grace Ararat. Always a conflict - God cannot be the author of sin, yet he is supreme in a creation that is filled with sin. Man cannot choose God, God chooses man, yet man is responsible for not choosing God and is punished for it. Once the PRC stopped developing their theology, they became a dead church.

The "Esau I have hated" as the title intrigued me because I remember hearing a traumatic sermon as a kid where the pastor basically used that passage to paint God's character in as arbitrary a way as possible and told us we needed to just accept that he could do whatever the hell he wanted to us and we needed to deal. It wasn't until college that I learned Romans 9-11 actually leads to a universalist message.
What's especially troubling about the way the PRCA delights in abusive portrayals of God is that people who leave the PRC often don't just leave the PRC, they give up faith in Jesus entirely. It's ironic, because Jesus devoted a good portion of his ministry to fighting with the spiritually abusive but orthodox Jewish teachers.

Your comment that ... people who leave the PRC often don't just leave the PRC, they give up faith in Jesus entirely ... is very interesting. I think that because it is so difficult to leave the PRC, that people who leave never want to be controlled again by another cult like group. The intense pain that people who leave have to go through is so horrible that there is actually a long lasting stress trauma that people endure. People in the PRC will simply call it a suffering from the sin of leaving the church....and anyone who is there or has been there will know that this is what they will say. However this trauma is not a result of some sin.....those who have left now know that that 'church' is so twisted that the very thought of calling leaving sin is simply more proof that this organization is a cult. The very title of this thread just oozes more PR poison. Esau have I hated....this is a phase that the PRC loves. This is the base of their 'religion'. Once you leave the PRC, you realize that the Esau's are actually the PRC members. There is no kindness, no giving, no real godliness in the PRC. The only way you think you experience anything good is if you follow the PR rules and views. Any changes from them and you will see that the hatred is real toward everyone else. The saddest part is to know you still have family there who think they are somehow doing the right thing. Once you leave you see what a disaster this church has caused on peoples lives. There is no church out there that will teach you something you haven't learned when it comes to doctrine. The only way you can attend a different church is to unlearn everything you have been taught, reboot, and start over. Very few people who leave the PRC try to do that, they are simply trying to restart their lives, and the thought of joining another church that may be a cult is enough to make people not even go to another church.

The PRC believes that the sunshine, rain, etc are a curse to the unbelievers. What about Matthew 5:45. Nowhere there does it say that it's a curse to the unbelievers. And the following verses 46-48 doesn't say 'have nothing to do with unbelievers. Verse 47 is why I don't believe in shunning
