I want there to be easy access for those to be able to report child abuse when they witness it. Therefore, I have compiled information to report child abuse in each state/province where there is a PR church. Please, regardless of whether or not you are a member of this site, please report child abuse when you witness it. You do not need to be certain that you have witnessed child abuse when you report-that is for the professionals to determine-but I would say that whenever you witness something that gives you that uneasy feeling, err on the side of caution and report it. While many have witnessed the light spankings in PR churches that do NOT constitute abuse of children, I believe many have also witnessed abuse and have been unsure what to do about it.
When doing this research, I found clear information indicating that the reporter's identity would remain confidential (although I could not find clear information regarding South Dakota admittedly) and with the exception of a judicial proceeding, the information would remain confidential. In my experience, the department of human services usually conducts the investigations and it is rare that it continues to a judicial proceeding. I have had to report child abuse in the past, and the investigators have always been clear as to whether or not it is an indication of child abuse. I have always been able to remain confidential. Although I know it varies by region, in many cases you do not even have to leave your name. Here is the main phone numbers, and internet links, in alphabetical order for all the states/provinces where there is a PR church:

Children are innocent members of the PRC. Let's keep them safe when we see a parent go over the line with discipline.
