It’s absolutely amazing that people still believe all this stuff. I had friends that would literally cheat with married women but wouldn’t be caught watching a football game on Sunday. Or they would skip the “second service” and literally show up in a suit right as church was getting out just so that the elders wouldn’t catch them. It is incredible what people will do when they live in fear. The level of hypocrisy is the highest I have ever witnessed in my life.
It’s so bad that it has almost turned into a game. Like who can live the worst life while appearing to be the most pure? You could literally rape somebody as long as you were in church on Sunday. It is all a facade. The saddest part is this lifelong competition is played in the field of RELIGION. People are literally damning each other to hell over small beliefs that God hasn’t even heard of. If people would just wake up and realize that this is all a rivalry with other Dutch people in GR that has sadly spread to other parts of the world, everybody would be a lot better off.

Also, yes I am the same one who started the discussion on spousal abuse.

I'm PR and I find it sad that there are people in the PRC like that. Not all of us think that way, but like you said, there is those that do.

But nothing gets done about it. So in a sense you condone this behavior. Within the prca, the silence of complicity is deafening. Exactly. Let it fall on the Elders...you know, the farm boys knighted into power, by god's grace, of course.
