Andy already took it to 11, not sure it goes higher than that! 😂 Oh, it goes higher. They're just not trying. Here's a few for you Crete, totally free of charge: - Nathan Langerak is being spiritually tortured to death by his consistory night after night by their wicked rulings!
- The synodical body of the PRC is in league with Satan!
- Our former church has been infiltrated by secret Arminian agents hellbent on destroying the concept the God's sovereignty bit by bit because of the demonic influence of free will!
The higher you ratchet your claims, the more clout you're gonna get at the RPC. You know who gets the good stuff? Martyrs. Andy gets that. Nate doesn't. Andy's playing for Herman Hoeksema. Nate's playing like he barely even wants to be Danhof. That's why 100 years later, Hoeksema's got his own Wikipedia page and Danhof just gets a footnote. You better hurry up and accuse them of harboring pedophiles Nate, or you're gonna spend a lifetime playing second fiddle to the guy who said the church you're splitting from is a bunch of homosexuals committing group sodomy in church buildings. Yeah, the sodomy analogy is quite provacative. A pounding of classis asses if you will.

All of this is such a waste of one's life. So silly, and pathetic. What a waste of time for those cult members still stuck in this junk. Exactly. This whole thing is a real life Monty Python skit.

Rumour is about 10-12 families following langerak. I would have thought a few more, especially if you figure he probably has some supporters at Peace as well. However, denominational loyalty is strong. Those who leave are going to be giving up all the security (fellowship at church, social contacts, job contacts, potentially school) they hold so dearly.

Everyone I know at Crete hates Langerak and has since before this controversy even started several years ago. I have no details, but people who are misogynistic think he’s a misogynist, if that tells you anything.

Some of these people are hard line and conservative even by PR standards and they think Langerak is a little out there. So that's saying something.

The worst of it is this will put more pressure on young married couples to have more children to grow the cult Your comment prompted the memory of a PRC sermon on "Let the Little Children Come to Me" - the application by the reverend (and future seminary professor) was that spouses who used birth control weren't bringing the little children to Jesus. Interesting theology that ascribes to man the ability to thwart the Almighty. Perhaps this application will be emphasized to replenish the synodical assessments (currently $750/family annually) Andy Lanning asserts not only the text but its application is the word of God - "This is so important because the applications in sermons arise out of the texts and the doctrine of the texts...When a minister faithfully expounds the doctrine of the text, that doctrine will demand a certain application to the life of the congregation in its actual circumstances. The question is not how the application makes the congregation feel. The question is whether the application is faithful to the word of God." (Sword & Shield, May 2021)

They recently organized an "Act of Separation" meeting (you can watch it on youtube) in which they signed a separation document and the people there then walked up and signed it as well. It wasn't a large group, but I would guess 15 families or so.

Could you share the link? This just looked like the church down in Crete? Did anyone see anyone from the west Michigan area sign? Is there a video of that?
