Hello to the PR's (and RP's) here to read about Rev. Rodney Kleyn.
First off, that's okay. It's okay you're here. You're allowed to be here. Don't feel shame about it. This forum actively encourages PR's to participate here. We all know this is the only real place you can come to get info about Kleyn. You probably heard about it off an announcement at the pulpit this morning. Maybe you heard about it from the rumor mill churning in the back of church after the service. You probably discussed it with the rest of your family at Sunday lunch are the dinner table. We know how it works. But you all know as well as I do that you're not getting the real info. You're getting what you're allowed to know. You're getting pre-approved PR-spins. And you're not allowed to speak your mind or ask any real questions, because asking any questions would imply your dissatisfaction with the answers you are getting. You don't want to tip your hand to the person that you're talking to that you know something's wrong. It makes you a them instead of an us. Asking questions reveals you as someone who may be to try and find the real reasons of why Kleyn left because maybe you yourself are exploring whether or not Kleyn was right. You can't try to get real, true information in real life from your church, family, or friends without potentially putting yourself at significant risk, so you come here. You know it and I know it. We all know it. You're here because over the last week you probably heard the "Kleyn is just stressed" spin, or the "Kleyn is on vacation" spin, or the "Kleyn is struggling with his call to ministry" spin. Your church denomination is lying to you, and you know it. That's why you're here. Kleyn's resignation was posted about a full week ago on the forum. That's why you're here. It was posted on the forum yesterday how the resignation would be read in church this morning, which you now know to be true. You know our information's good. There's proof after proof that our information is good on the forum. That's why you're here.
The PRC is trying to convince you everything is normal. It's not. You can feel that it's not. You see stuff like Rev. Kleyn leaving and you are vexed because you fear that it's more evidence of something being wrong. You really don't want it to be true, but deep down you already know it is. That's really why you're here. Aren't you tired of pretending that's not true?
One of the features of this site is that everyone can see how many people are active at any given time. The Narthex is the spot where people can read information without an account. This is where we can put information and know that accountless PR's (and RP's) are coming to read. Look at how many of you there are! Go on, look! Over 50 are reading the Rev. Kleyn thread right now at this random moment I took a screenshot.
--
Another thing we can see is how many current viewers are members versus how many are guests. Look at this! 24 members with accounts, but 65 as guests! Almost three times as many of you are reading anonymously rather than having an account!
--
Another feature is to see how many were here in the last 24 hours. Look at how many! Over 1,000! See how many of you there are! How many total PR's do you think there are? Across all the different PR churches, there's probably not even more than 5,000 - 6,000 PR's and RP's combined who are capable of wielding the internet to the degree needed to access this site.

There are so, so many of you that know there is something amiss in the PRC. You know your church is lying to you. You know something is wrong. You know good people who have left, or who have been driven away. You know that church politics are being played out by people in power, but everything is cloaked in vague language and official narratives and you don't actually know what's happening. You come here to try and make some sense out of it. You can't raise a fuss in real life because then you hit the church radar as potential troublemaker. A persona non grata. So you go with the flow to stay underneath the radar. You come here for the information, hoping to find out what's really going on. Then you put on your suit or dress and head to night service to go put more money in the collection plate of the church that purposefully and knowingly lies to you by leadership who knows full well you have to swallow what they feed you or else.
This is not normal. You need to hear this. It is not normal for churches to lie and abuse power to protect themselves. This is unhealthy, and you know it. You know who else knew it? Reverend Rodney Kleyn. And we all know what he and his family did about it. He could no longer in good conscience remain under the banner of the PRCA. He could not live with his conscience before God, so he left. You think it's hard to leave as a congregant? Can you imagine how much harder it is for someone who has been trained in their seminary and ministered in the denomination for over two decades?
Stop just going with the flow and pretending everything's normal. It's not normal, and you know it. Do something about it. Kleyn did.
