I found a reporter ready to take this on and I'm going to be interviewed. We did it. We made enough noise and a reporter had a very long conversation with me today via telephone. They are ready to start digging to see what is found. I'm not finished. Not until I know people are safe and victims are protected! Man, I'm about to be public enemy number 1.

Any embarrassment, shame, or "harm" recognized by the truth coming out is not on Heidi or anyone but the abusers and the PRCA themselves. To put this as you are on Heidi or any other victim is just plain wrong. Your post actually plays out to me as one from an abuser. |

I did struggle for a time realizing just how much I lost when I left and even prior to that. What I've realized even MORE though since leaving is all the sickness that I've learned of in that denomination. People need to open their eyes to it and I think it's come down to this now, this news report. When children are being molested, women/men beaten (physically and emotionally) and ministers covering it up, then it's high time something is done. Not out of revenge, as you stated, but because that is what HAS to happen. If you can't see this then I truly don't understand. I don't even think we know half of it. God doesn't want this to continue, you have to know that. Heidi made a podcast and nothing changed. Many here have told our own stories, nothing has changed. What now? Revenge? No. Justice for those who need the help. They need people standing for them. God doesn't want us turning a blind eye anymore. He gave us all brains and the capability to stand for those who are not able to. |

If WE (the PRCA) are truly going to repent of the sins we have committed as a denomination, that includes going to all we have sinned against and repenting to them. Personally as well as publicly. Heidi Woldhuis, I truly believe that if there was a clear biblical way for you to have done this already AND BE HEARD, you would have done it. I hope the interview accomplishes this. You are basically the poster child (being the most public and horrific example) for needing a public apology. If the PRCA does not respond in true repentance, if the consistory of the church you belonged to does not respond this way.... I honestly dont know how to end that sentance. |

What if it's NOT the most horrific example, but that others might have been swept under the PRC rug as well? What if there's more people who just don't have the courage? What if there's even more smoke? 'Think the RVO case was just a one-off? I don't. Not by a long shot. This cult BREEDS this behavior. Just look at the Englesma letter. That's "righteous" anger, but exposing the rot is "revenge"? This cult destroyed families and continues to do so. The PRC leadership had their chance to make it right, and look what they do - right a silly standard bearer article on abuse and call it a day? Please. They KNOW, and do nothing about it. It's time. It's time to get exposed. Sorry, you had decades to fix this and have done nothing but called yourself a "true church". (Not YOU personally...just using your post.) |
