So does anyone know what's going on with the new Psalter or when it will be released?

There was a massive denomination wide survey at the end of last year about it. We were all given a bound section of what would be the new psalter, a long with notated changes from our current one. The last page had a bunch of questions. The surveys were to be gone through by each church, and each church would basically give a yes or no (as I understand it). The survey responses from each church will be brought to this year's synod. In the meantime, the committee working on it with the other denominations continues their work as normal.

Check under the subject psalter in the narthex folder for more discussion on this.

They won't use the Psalms of David in Meter because it absolutely has to be the Genevan Psalter? The church I belong to is also stuck with tunes of the Genevan Psalter. A metric paraphrase is being produced in our tongue so it can fit the outdated melodies.

Salvation by works, if you do all these legal things, then you are a good christian and are saved.
