I’m curious, with most if not all schools doing online learning due to Corvid 19, I’m wondering if there is any change about watching movies? Are educational programs ok? What about a program that has education materials , like Reading Rainbow, geared for younger students?
I’m wondering this because I could see some parents, who are at home with a lot of kids, doing online learning and changing their minds on the watching movies.

The sin was to watch movies at a theater, most are shut down now The sin is watching any kind of drama for the prca, much less partaking in acting. Going to a theater just made the sin public, and we all know how "keeping up appearances" is so important. Our controversy is not with a VCR, but with the movies that are played on the VCR." ..."The battle lines today are similar to what they were 20, 30, or 40 years ago. The battle was against drama.: - Rev. Gritters [The Standard Bearer: Issue: 13, 4/1/1993, Vol 69/1993]

As the true church they really don't like hearing the truth I don’t know of anyone who still believes drama is evil. Not many go to theaters yet, because yes, appearances. It has been more than 20 years since I’ve heard a sermon on the supposed evil of drama (which I still don’t understand.)

The evil of acting/drama is about not being who God created you to be. Act like the person God made you and not be proud about yourself, because He made you. I know it sounds ridiculous, because it is. For some reason being proud of yourself or your accomplishments is evil. Acting is fake and nobody should partake in fake. For a denomination who is against drama I say they are pretty good at it. It takes amazing effort to keep up with appearances, sweep abuse under the rug, and listen to narratives that are full of drama. I lived in this denomination long enough and what I saw, heard and endured was more dramatic than any crazy televised drama. You can’t make this stuff up. Lies, lies and more lies are told and believed, because the idea of being proud of who you are and having self worth is like pretending you aren’t a fallen human being. So view yourself with a low view, view others as low too, and don’t enjoy stories. Anyone want to sign up for this? Ugh, enjoy stories and use the imagination God gave you. Use it for His glory! And please know that you can be proud of who you are and God delights in you! It is His salvation.

Do any of the PR schools allow plays/skits? I’m sure this would not be allowed in a PR school. Because drama is evil.

There were several families in my church that did not allow their children to watch drama. Including mine. Let me tell you, not being allowed to watch drama really stunts you later in life. People look at me like I've grown a second head when I say things like, " I haven't watched Jurassic Park yet so I don't get your reference". I've tried my best to catch up on popular movies, but there's honestly too many of them + lots of them are aimed towards kids and they don't particularly interest me. And there's no way to explain to someone that you're not close with that "Oh, I grew up in a fundamentalist Christian group and wasn't allowed to partake in any secular entertainment so I don't know all these old popular songs and movies. I wasn't allowed to read Harry Potter, much less watch the movies. "

Also, how has your music taste been affected? Despite having access to streaming services now, I'm struggling to catch up there too.

Hmmmm what about baseball games, etc. Just for the record, I don't go to the movies, I watch what is good on TV

It helps that I listen to music when I drive, exercise, and work. There are still classic songs I’ve never heard of, but they tend to be the ones that are hit or miss with other people recognizing too. Btw - If you want to catch up on classic songs everyone knows I find that listening to throwback playlists helps a ton. I think Spotify has an their own playlist called Throwback Thursday that changes every week. I used to listen to that playlist a ton.
