I have updated the navigation post to add Investigation Bullet Point #6: Classis East on 1/11/23 to vote on Third Party Investigation.
This is an extremely important post for our PR users to read. I urge you all to read it entirely before this Sunday, if possible. The Sanctuary forum, where all the other Bullet Point posts reside, requires an account for users to access. I have asked the Admins for this particular Bullet Point to be moved to the Narthex so that PR lurkers without an account can read it.
Next Wednesday, 1/11/23, Classis East at Grandville PRC has an agenda item to consider an overture for performing a third party investigation using G.R.A.C.E..

In light of the info in the overture and the knowledge we know they have about past and present abuse a and knowing that they have been caught covering these things up it would be shameful for there even to be discussion. There should be silence and hanging of heads and an immediate "yes" vote. If they are going to form any committee it should be one that investigates ways to bring compensation to those that were broken by the prc.

Prc when will you wake up! The professors, ministers, elders, deacons, school board, teachers, parents, relatives, when you turn a blind eye to abuse - and say nothing - sweep it under the rug- when you you realize God loves his little lambs- you willingly knew and did nothing to help them- You don’t have to answer to this forum- but you do have to answer to God how will you answer to God- step forward be honest and help those victims- my stomach turns on this lying and deceit from “the truest church” come on we are appalled!

Somewhat new here, ex-PR, RVO was my pastor growing up. I read the entire RVO post along with some others. It took me a little while to find the RVO thread - I just wondered why there is not a link to that post in this thread?
I am still reading many posts, trying to absorb things about people I knew many years ago. Shocking in many ways, but not so shocking in other ways based on my experiences growing up PR. I am a guy and some of the things I saw and heard from my guy friends/classmates were so shocking and disturbing that I did not know what to say even then. After all this came out, I mentioned it for the first time to a brother ... he had quite a few more shocking stories to add as well. So many PR girls were victims of abuse ...

I understand and appreciate your point. I'm intending to write a bullet point entry on RVO. He's on the list. I have some others I want to get to before that. Another problem is that we have such an enormous amount of information on RVO it's hard to know what to include. It is an unending cascade of things the PRC did wrong and is still doing. So many victims to consider and other things to consider carefully. In the mean time, there is the RVO Timeline Summary I put together to help people be able to consume a somewhat condenses version of the RVO thread. I welcome any stories you have that may contribute to opening people's eyes to the abuse. There are still so many people who remain willfully ignorant. Any story helps. |
